“Review of Eye Eye Nose Mouse and Reflections on Psychiatry and Art in Japan” is just published.
I had an interesting virtual meeting with editor of Japanese and Chinese mental patients’ artworks at Harvard several months ago and wrote a review of the catalogue, as well as some reflections on psychiatry and art in Japan in Creative Arts in Education and Therapy. The Harvard exhibition is strikingly innovative. At the same time, use of traditional themes and subjects in the ancient and medieval period for modernization of Japan in the twentieth century was also one of the driving forces of modern psychiatry and art in Japan. You can read my review here.

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptires である。

Creative Arts in Education and Therapy に Essay Review が掲載されました!
Through a virtual meeting on the internet, I have just published an essay review in a journal, Creative Arts in Education and Therapy. The review is prompted by "Eye, Eye, Nose, Mouth," an exhibition of artworks of patients in China and Japan organized at Harvard. I have touched the traditional expression in Noh and Kabuki, as well as their developments in the twentieth century. The website has both PDF and HTML. I have been helped by Professor Tony Zhou and Professor McNiff to make the review much better. My deep thanks to them!
