スプラウト。しばらく前に、使ってみたと書いたのですが、やはり難しいです。いや、難しいというよりも、栽培に必要な水を変える必要があるというのかな。それで、栽培セットを買ってみたのですが、これが非常にいいです。今日のお昼には完成したパスタの上から降ってもらいました。
エリザベス・デイヴィド (Elizabeth David, 1913-1992) という料理研究家がいる。私が留学した時に没したせいもあり、文章が非常にクリスプで説得力があるせいもあり、大切にしている。A Book of Mediterranean Food という書物はニューヨーク・レヴュー・オヴ・ブックスからも再刊されている。
その中で実佳と私が愛しているのはオムレツの項目であり、ことにガートルード・スタインによる記述である。そんな中で実佳は最近数か月かかってオムレツをマスターして、とても美味しい。私も練習してみようと思い、この1週間くらいで3回ほどやってみた。オニオンとベーコンを入れたシンプルなオムレツ。最初はひっくり返す勇気がなくて、泣きながら実佳にお願いした（笑）最近は、少しはできるようになったが、まだまだ全然ダメである。これからの冬休み、それから日曜の朝にオムレツの練習をします！
