慶應文学部の北中先生が組織し、社会学研究科の博士課程の院生で学術振興会DCの三原さやかさんが助ける形で、アメリカの医学史の名門、ジョンス・ホプキンズ大学の先生のジェレミー・グリーン先生を軸にした多様な医療人文学の分野にわたるシンポジウムが合計４つも提供されております。ぜひご参加を！

1) 医療と人文社会科学の架橋に向けてＶ: The Edges of the Clinic

医療が高度化し、自然科学と人文社会科学それぞれの専門性が細分化した現在、異なる領域の専門家同士が互いに深く理解しあうことは容易ではありません。この分断を乗り越える目的で、今回は内科医・医学史家として領域を超え世界的に活躍され、病と薬の歴史研究を先導されてきたジェレミー・グリーン先生と、インドの糖尿病研究でNew Millennium Book Award(アメリカ医療人類学会）を受賞されたハリス・ソロモン先生をお迎えし、「The Edges of the Clinic」について議論します。日本の現役の医師と社会科学者とともに小児医療、老年医療、精神医療、災害医療、救急医療、遠隔医療等、臨床現場の異なる局面に焦点を当てることで、医療と人文社会科学をつなぐアプローチの探究を試みたいと思います。医療従事者、医学領域や人文社会科学領域の研究者・教育者・学生さんのほか、この領域の架橋に興味のある方々のご参加を広く歓迎いたします。事前登録不要・参加費無料ですので、奮ってご参加ください。

6月10日ー23日まで、Johns Hopkins の医学史学部長であり、最近Medical Humanities のセンターを設立されたジェレミー・グリーン先生を、慶應にお呼びできることになりました。ご存知のようにグリーン先生はクライマンの愛弟子であり、ハーバードの医療人類学でＭＡを、ＭＤを取得されるとの同じ年に医学史のPhDをとられ、国際保健や医学教育のみならず、薬の歴史、ジェネリックの専門家として議会にも呼ばれる等、幅広い領域活躍されています。また、学際的・国際的ネットワークも多岐にわたり、後進の指導にも積極的に取り組まれている方ですので、日本・アジアでの医療人類学ネットワークをどう構築していけばいいのかについても、いろいろとヒントをいただけるのではと思っております。

今回のご講演では、医学部の中にMedical Humanities センターを作る際のお話とともに、医学・歴史・人類学・行政・とそれぞれ異なるタイプのオーディエンスに向けて発信する方法についてお話いただきます。また、New England Journal of Medicine 等を含め一流の医学誌に数多くの医学史・医療人類学的論文をも出されている先生から、医学との効果的な連携について教えていただけるのではと考えております。奮ってご参加ください。

Yumi Kim 先生は、栄誉ある2018 Pressman-Burroughs Wellcome Award from the American Association for the History of Medicineを受賞された気鋭の若手医学史家です。日本が近代化する時期の病・狂気・精神病についてのご研究をお話いただき、コメンテイターのJeremy Greene 先生を中心に精神医療研究の最新の動向と、今後の方向性について皆でディスカッションしたいと思います。
